Goodbye 2010 ! Hello .....2011 !!!

Wow ! how fast did 2010 fly by us all !
I'm more than pleased that my bit of scrappy crystal ball gazing on
was all spot on !!!! woot !
Alas , I have nothing much to offer this time save
to pass this on from Pantone :
Say Yes to HoneySuckle Pink :
oooo yeah ! Color me vivid & with extravagant optimism any day ! I likey !!!
& I just might buy more clothes in this color going forward into 2011 . ;)

Now continuing my celebration of creations of 2010 -

From July .
O my ! TA's Limited Edition Colors - Fall 2010 -
sure had me at Hello !! woot ! such a fine collection of versatile mist colors .
With them , I can alter any olde, ugly patterned paper into something I could love ! 'nuff said !

From August.
I made a record number of cards to appreciate teachers this year.
& bought a record number of school themed lines too.
With my kidlets at the age their at ,
totally worth justifying the hoarding for me !
From September .
Joy is  handcoloring my own crinkled ribbons .
I even used some to make flowers here. ;)
& It really was a banner year , wasn't it ?
From October.
Although Turquoise was 2010's hue of the year ( Pantone) ,
I was very happy to add shades of purple to my creations this year.
& did you notice Bloomers everywhere -
on clothes, tees , not just for scrappy use ...
From November .
My first GD spot for a stamping company - myStampBox !
Sweet !

From December.
Playing with newfound mediums ( in this case - alcohol inks )
always always make me happy ! ;)

Now Here's wishing all blogging friends a berry, merry New Year -

w/ a champagne cherry cheesecake truffle w/ pecan praline & amaretti...
and a generous scoop of vanilla gelato + cider-marinated fruits by  the side.
Yupz , I sure hope my first dinner of 2011 is gonna be rounded off like this ! ;)

Celebrate 2010 !

Being that it's a nice new shiny decade ,
it's only fitting to celebrate what we've done in 2010 !

From January .
I liked the soft colors of the G45 Le Romantique line coupled with kraft.
& I carried on misting throughout most of 2010. ;)
From February .
Love acrylic photo stand projects - made quite a few as gifts for guys.
G45 A Proper Gentleman was a fave masculine line for me.

from March .
Handmade flowers are here to stay it seems & I certainly jumped
on that major trend with this altered canvas project.
from April .
Celebrating scallops -every which way & the use of white spot laminated cardstocks with mists.

From May .
This Girls' Paperie line - for cards is a major fave for me .

from June .
Finally using my clear stamps more this year -
Technique Tuesday stamps by Ali Edwards is a major fave.

I'll continue in the next post
with my choices from the remaining 6 mths of the year !
What fun to look back at what we've done sometimes . ;)

Real Life. in photos .

It seems that I like rounding off my year end scrapping with Webster's Pages.
Definitely one of my top go to brands . To me,  Webster's Pages papers are versatile enough
to match many different photo themes.
I used a mix of scraps from 2 different lines - Seaside Retreat & Nature's Storybook.
Used some cardstock stickers from the Garden Gala line .
& Vintage sparklers from the Wonderfall line on top of
Chelly Bean Design's crepe paper flowers. ;)

Lest I forget how to scrap & mist & all that -
couldn't resist misting with Perfect Pearl mist in green unto the black cardstock. ;)

Quick Pressie Ideas

Trust you're mostly done with present opening or giving marathons ! ;)
I made these as stand bys to give away , just in case I need a present with a handmade touch.
A quick altered notebook using BG Capella .

I'm also entering this for the Krafer's Paradise Challenge #4 - using BG in our projects . ;)

A Tattered Angel Bingo Card hanging for a change here.

I tried coloring some of  the Prima crystals with green alcohol ink & loved the result ! ;)
The TA chipboard frame was painted with Pink Bubblegum GM and then coated with
Glimmer Glam in Lavender.
Some Prima floral, leaves , crinkled ribbon , JB vintage buttons and I was
able to call it done . ;)

More G45 Springtime cards

Some peeps bake & bake during Christmas .
Not me , I'd rather be creating paperfections ! lol
Especially with new papers for inspiration.

Made a batch of G45 Once Upon a Springtime cards at one go -
using all my fave things - bling, pearls , crinkled ribbons,
lace/crochet trim.

SRM Stickers for the card sentiments .

More hidden stash finds

In the course of uncovering the Bo Bunny Edgy Album ,
I found a Maya Road Acrylic Butterfly Album amongst others.
I wanted to see where I could go with these acrylic pages with the alcohol inks I have on hand.

I kept it fairly simple to allow the alcohol ink patterns to come thru' ,
using a few of my fave things . ;)
Prima florals, crinkled ribbon , glittered chipboard, AC soft fleece heart

& I figured if I could do one page , I can do another & see what happens.
True enough, the 2nd is quite different from the first -
even though I was using the same color combos .

Sure had fun with alcohol inks & these butterfly acrylic pages ! ;)

Bo Bunny Edgy Album

Once in a while I take a look at
my hidden stash & this time I rediscovered a whole load of
mini albums I bought when they were on sale .
So I've had this Bo Bunny Edgy Album for more than  a year
and decided to turn it into a gift album
for one of  DD's schoolmate .

I took a clean & simple approach ,
featuring Such Sweet Tierney buttons as the main embellies .
Papers are Jillibean Soup's Atomic Soup line
and SC Elementary .

Very pleased to have used up stash
( yeah ! hands up bloggy friends who can relate ! )
even if this album took me longer to complete
 than I thought it would . ;)
I guess that's why I don't make mini albums so much .

BG Hopscotch

So I brought home some BG Hopscotch papers at the same time as the
G45 Once Upon a Spingtime line.
I think this is such a versatile line -
not an obvious in your face Valentine line -
very teenager inspired to me .

Lots of geometric prints, some seem Japanese inspired too .
I have used these BG Hopscotch pps with some Such Sweet Tiernney Buttons here.

Can't go wrong with some twine, gingham ribbon or crochet trim .
Card sentiments are by SRM Stickers.
I love it that their Card Sentiment sticker sheet has a
slightly different variation on the same theme, sticker to sticker.
I do have a problem being bored with the same old same old on one sheet. ;)
Which you sometimes get with rub ons or stamped sentiments .
So yes ! I am highly recommending
SRM Stickers for your card sentiments ! ;)

It's that time of the year for us here ,
New lines arriving even before the CHA summer show ! woot !
We are spoilt for choice, as scrappers in lil ole Singapore . For sure !

I was inspired by The Color Room's Challenge #37 ,
pastel colors from Her Room
Sketches in Thyme
( a new to me challenge site ) .
Other supplies :
AC felt heart, Prima Rosebud,
Maya Rd chipboard ( painted with Twinkling H2O) ,
my own handcolored crinkled ribbon,
SRM Stickers - Sticker Sentiments - Thank You .

I'll be back very soon with
a BG Hopscotch card or two to share next ! ;)

Added a touch of White Liquid Applique on Santa just for fun .

Look thru' the lens

what do we see ?

A layout to share today using the new Viewfinder chipboard by Magistical Memories
( designed by Amy Teets )

I backed the viewfinder with some black embossed Core'dinations cardstock,
added a vintage stamp image ( Technique Tuesday ) which was stamped on coordinating
Prima Jack & Jill paper & topped off with Glossy Accents. The date is clear numeral stickers
by SRM Stickers.

I thought the Prima Jack & Jill papers would be fun to use to make some Baby cards .
These are my first gos are it .

Gotta love the clear stickers by SRM Stickers for the perfect Baby card sentiments .
They do go on seamlessly , like how I want it . ;)
