Woo to the Hoo ! It's the New Year already ! 2007 kicks off to a great start !

Hello 2007 !

Goodbye 2006 !

Is it the end ?

Or just the beginning ?

Saddam Hussein finally executed!

The Taiwan earthquake shook our access to the Internet here in little Singapore - most of the access is ok now - but it did hit us bad the first couple of days !

I woke up today to find out that 6 small bombs exploded in various locations across Bangkok ( was there in early Nov ! )

DCM - B&W Christmas with a splash of colour

This is quite a challenge for me simply due to a lack of material in Black & white - however did find this image in my Christmas stash which I received from Scotland in a swap before - kinda stained glass effect - holographic background - Christmas angels I think ! Not sure if this was a hand stamped image - as the person who sent me this is a stamper ! - mounted on a cd with silver peel off greeting.

Think I'll keep it for myself , Rhi - lol - it's the only image like this I received from Scotland - precious !

DCM Little extra mid week challenge
This week we'd like you to make 3 tags for your Christmas Presents using this list of words to help you; holly, gift, snowflake, ribbon, tree, silver
So hopefully this year your presents will be adorned with pretty handmade tags, and not just plain white sticky labels.....
=================================================
Gift , silver , tree :
Some quick & happy Chrismassy tags using some fun dimensional stickers I found yesterday at a stationery store last nite.
Tried out some doodling with the Chatterbox Doodle Genie tool .
Mainly revisiting old ideas of pearlescent papers, punchart & stickers !

DCM - Stamping with a twist

This week's challenge is set by Keryn and I want you to... Stamp with a Twist. Don't race out and grab your mounteds, unmouteds, polymer stamps or your stipple brushes and foam. I want you stamp with basically anything else but a commercially produced stamp.
=========================

Wow ! What a challenge !Have to admit - lol !

Being a non-stamper & all !

I thought in terms of circles mainly - also bubble wrap - but wasn't sure what I would do with the stamped bubble wrap .

I decided to stick with anything circular I could find - from plastic bottles, bottle caps , marker ends ( there were some interesting patterns that emerged from those ) but mainly I stuck to using erasers - erasers of pencils - mechanical ones etc .

My eleven & eight year olds were very happy to help out & they stamped the paper for the second tag.

Also testing out the new CanoScan 4400F that we have with these little gift tags .

supplies : DCWV , glitter glue

TFL !

DCM- Sing !

This week's challenge is set by Kel and I want you to... Sing!
http://daringcardmakers.blogspot.com/
============================================
Ok , the music I like may not be everyone's cup of tea , but truth be told my all time fave artiste is Josh Groban for sooo many wonderful reasons - ( have others too - Michael Buble , dare i say James Blunt ! lol )
made tonnes of friends all over thru his fan club etc
soo I have made lots of cards based on the lyrics of the songs
from the albums of Josh Groban .........

Long before I did any scrapping I loved making photo cards , duh !
sounds like an oxymoron now - lol
