I added a MM Sweets ( yes that's what it's called ! luv them ! glossy accents are everywhere now ! ) Happy Birthday tag to this monogram card made previously.

I was inspired by another member KristenJo but as always my scraplifting results are quite different from the original !

My latest fave layout !

We took a few shots in a photo shop ( can't exactly call it a proper studio ) in less than half an hour . The price of for a total of 39 prints was about the cost of a fast food meal here ! lol or slightly more !

My fave part - they touched up digitally ! So less eye bags for me ( who needs plastic surgery now ! lol ) & the kids also look 5 years younger ! lol

These are some of my very fave cards ( and have now made their way to Canada to a dear friend , M - of course ! lol )

Just to share some of my process that I enjoy :

In the earlier days of trying to use sketches - at that time it was mainly Pagemap's card maps - there was such a load of lovely sketches & card samples & yet I couldnt get going !

I certainly do have an affinity for simple graphic stuff - having, like Di Hickman ,a bit of graphic design background in my corporate working past.

It works wonders for me - simple , graphic.

These days for card making the choice of pp often sets off the creative spark .

I do not have a particular favourite colour I must say - I try to use up whatever cardstock I have on hand to match the PPs. & my fave papers are usually the ones that are not yet released ! lol

for these cards I'm sooo loving the Heidi Grace new Winter CHA release !

Marina Drive & Oh So Moody lines - & she sure does have a bumper crop of collections released !

I then look at the matching accessories that I got together with the paper & added on the embellies in ways I haven't tried before , where possible.

Of course using some of the latest Prima Sprites & Pop Ups ! simply adds a little pop to any card !

I also totally adore the new Press Petal Gel Chipboard Alphas - glossy finish & polka dotted ! Cos I dont have glossy accent on hand ! ;p; always out of stock in our LSS'

DCM Mid Week extras - Vintage card

Well, we've got another retro themed challenge, but this time we'd like you to go way, way back and think Vintage. We'd like you to make a card with a vintage theme, or maybe a modern card but using some vintage elements, so some of those gorgeous "vintage" style rubber stamps would be wonderful, or you could use old paper, photos, an old buckle, some old beads, bits of old lace - the whole history of the world is your oyster for this one!

DCM - Strictly Monochrome

This week you can do ANYTHING you like on a card BUT you can only use one colour.I (Lythan) have been very strict with the team and quite frankly enjoy the power when they come begging to be allowed to use just a hint of one other colour. I did in the end allow black for the sentiment particularly if you do an all white card. But the real idea is to have fun with just one colour and see just what variation there is.
