MLSB Enchanted Garden cards

Definitely a big fave from the last release - 

My Little Shoebox's Enchanted Garden Line .

I focused on using the cardstock stickers with our rolled flowers. 

Looking forward to seeing our latest Winter releases in person soon  -

MLSB Enchanted Garden layouts

Lest I forget that I know how to create layouts - 

2 garden inspired layouts to share today ,

using the My Little Shoebox Enchanted Garden line. 

It was definitely a lot about banners and rolled up flowers last year . 

I spy the Chevron trend may not let up just yet 

( although I haven't tried that one yet- perhaps I will venture with a black & white Chevron french manicure - but not in my papercrafting yet ) . 

Otherwise I'm not sure if there's a particularly new trend yet for 2012.

Seems to be a continuation of the past trends still to me .

While waiting for the latest Cottage Cutz Valentine's release to reach our sunny shores, 

I took a look at one of my very favorite earlier releases - the July 2011 Carnival release - 

to see which designs would work with a Valentine's Day theme. 

The Cotton Candy die easily stood out for me and I went on to diecut it in white cardstock so as to color in the colors to match the DP I was using. 

I used Pebbles Inc chalk to color & 

added some stickles to add a pop of color and dimension as well.

With Christmas behind us, I'm so ready for the next holiday - 

Valentine's Day ! 

I knew the Cottage Cutz Snow Globe die would be perfect for this holiday going 

with the sweet theme. 

And so using fun Valentine's Day colors , metallic foil , cardstock and Doodlebug's patterned paper 

this gumball machine turned out exactly the way I wanted it . 

Have a great crafty week ahead and remember to always look at your holiday dies 

and consider another way to use them ! ;) 

Martha Stewart's Enchanted Woodlands & Glitz Design Pretty in Pink

It's been too long since I indulged in some creative and crafty retail therapy . 

So I just had to do it today ! 

I am even sharing cards made from new arrival purchases today. woot ! 

Happy Day ! 

It's my first time buying Martha Stewarts' paper pads of any kind - 

and since I am in the mood to make as many V Day cards as I humanly can today. 

I just had to take a pad home . ;) 

It helped that we're getting a better than usual discount too.

 "My 16 year old DD will be staying in her high school hostel this year as part of a year long residential program . So she will be gone 5 days a week and home only on weekends.  For sure kids grow up too fast.  I altered this notebook for her , knowing that she will be appreciative of having something on hand to remind her of home, something she can use to pen her thoughts.I have picked out colors, patterns and elements from our various lines that I know she will love especially and that's what makes this project so fun yet meaningful at the same time."

I am so looking forward to enjoying the ride in 2012 , 

so it is only fitting that I chose to use the 

Carnival Silhouette die from Scrapping Cottage's Carnival release in July 2011 

to go with my card sentiment today . 

I have used American Crafts' glitter paper for the diecut -

one of my faves to use when using a silhouette die- glitter paper ie. 

As I look to the year ahead , I like to be reminded - 

"The Best is Yet to Come ! "
