Sent with Love - Envelope mini album

Class by Catrine over at Bad Girls' Kits . 

I made use of  6x9" envelopes & went to town with the new Tim Holtz Flourish Mask with some Walnut Distress Ink . I loved how the masking technique worked so well with the BG Blitzen papers. It will be hard for me to want to give this away as originally envisioned.

New findings - Tim Holtz Masks

Had to try out the new Tim Holtz Distress Stickles & Idea-ology Masks .

I stickled the Magistical Memories' Fancy Frame in red & gold.

& inked some Timeworks masks in Walnut Distress Ink.

I forsee lots of fun with these Tim Holtz's masks !

Altered Prima Box

I first painted this Prima packaging with red metallic paint & then sprayed it with Copper Maya Mist . I like this white Jenni Bowlin chipboard as it is & didn't do naything to it .
Inside the box I used one pc of mini paper from the Red & Black line .

& I also recycled from the mini bingo card packaging ( adore , faith , grow ).

Merry Memories - 6x12"album

So pleased with the number of online Christmas resources this year that I found .

This one's from the Bad Girls'Kits 2008 Christmas Workshop with a whooping 22 wonderful ideas to choose from !

This is a class by Cari Fennel.

The original idea uses a Prima 6x12"clear Build a Page album , which I wasn't about to find one yet , so I made do with using a Hambly transparency for the cover & the OA Good Cheer line for the insides.

My DD at her kindergarden graduation concert in 2001 at 6 years old.

Potty people brings to mind He Said ...She said ... or love /relationships kind of topic.

I found this old pic of my DD , & never scrapped much her kindy days if ever, so I had a go here .

I was so tickled by this Sandylion sticker of potty people decided to use the Magistical Memories' Potty People on top of the stickers - the chipboard was inked & I added a Glitz Design metallic pink flourish on the female chippie following the design on the sticker.

other supplies : Sandylion patterned paper , caption stickers , Creative Imagination Journaling spot , Glitz Design rub ons .

I used a mix of new & old pps here , the stars are leftover JB stickers

One of my top fave sketches of the year - you can use it so many ways - 

& you can add as many fave pattern papers in when you can't  decide which you like most to use  !

Papertake weekly challenge - Let it snow

Using Di Hickman's Nov card sketch #3 , Heidi Swapp's Winterfresh line & MM Rouge Paperie Shimmer stickers

My first canvas/shadowbox project

Bought this canvas 2 years ago & finally have a good idea to use it ! lol !

Instructions by Lucy Edson over at Bad Girls' pre-Christmas workshop class.

The original idea is to use 2 5x5'canvas taped together so that they can open etc .

Since I only had one pc of this rectangular canvas & I wasnt going to go look for more
I just used up what I have on hand.

The backside of the canvas became a shadowbox making use of the niche already there !
A very fun & quick project to try for sure !

The canvas side was covered with a piece of 1930s vintage magazine page & then I used the AL chipboard snowflakes as a mask & glimmer misted with Jazz Blue & Snow Angel although the pearlescent shimmer is lost here .

Also used up a Magistical Memories folk star , Anna Griffin dimensional stickers , crystal shreds.

This is a gift bag & card set made using instructions from Scrapping Outback's Scrappers Help Save Christmas weekly challenges .

The sheet music is part of the gift card/box template from Scrapping Outback that we can print out .

You can also find sheet music in the current October Afternoon Good Cheer line as well. 

Time flies when you're having fun !

My third & final project submission for the Magistical Memories 2nd Round Chipboard Artist call.

Will definitely be creating more little projects like cards etc with the remaining chippies leftover !

I used the Fancy Frame again & 2 of the Flutterby-s .

Can't beat crackled effect to add to the vintage look.

I discovered Photofunia.com & edited myself into a vintage book !

Magistical Memories - DT call 2nd Rd project

For this 2nd project , I was happy to try using MM Fancy Frames -

which was painted , stickled & covered in red sequinned tulle for the piece below the Potty People .

For the Potty People I tried to make them look more like kids with overalls , lace dress & a teddy ! lol !

Finally I used my last piece iof white oak leaf & simply sprayed it with Maya Mist Copper for a glimmer gold effect !

Happy Mail Day with Magistical Memories

First of all, I was so thrilled that this mail containing 11 different packs of fun shapes by Magistical Memories took all of 5 days to reach me via normal airmail ! woo hoo !

That means it totally makes sense for us overseas folks to buy online

from Magistical Memories !!!

I was all ready to use the Owl Hang Around

I made her up into Mrs Owl can you tell ? lol !

Black eye liner , Liquid Pearl eyes & of course eyelashes & a red glittered heart nose , some inking for definition .

Then i added 2 white oak leaves to the KI MEmories Lace Bouquet - & they have been inked in 3 colors & finally Glimmer Misted with Sea Foam altho' that really didn't do anything much to the overall effect !

Finally I decided to mask in the MM May Apple Blossoms whose shape was quite similar to the KI LAce Bouquet & so I used some Snow Angel Glimmer Mist for a pearlescent effect !

If you haven't tried chipboard for customised embellishments for your layout ,

Tried out the Crate Paper Mia Collection - including the glittered die cuts ,
more corrugated cardboard with crackled paint ( tattered rose - which was also inked ) ,
Rhonna Farrer Quote Rub on with some crackle accent on the swirls

Inking with Inkessentials Ink blending foam - liberating for me ! LOL !

highly recommended to reach well & easily further into the page

& much softer effects can be achieved

without any ink on your fingers

if you do use the pads with the tool as well !
