These "lost" memories of an aunt & uncle
from more than 50 years ago
( they are now in their 70s)
uncovered some sweet love notes
that they had written to each other on the back of their pics.
I was inspired to do a vintage type layout to try to
re-capture their sweet , youthful romantic days .
The photos are reproductions of the originals
hence some pinkish , violet tones .
I tried out some fabric swatches ( compliments of Lucy Edson ! :) )
-which I received as a challenge prize over at AMM ! -
together with some Webster's Pages Postcards from Paris & Nature's Storybook.
I also misted & masked unto the background pp
to add more shine & color to the overall design.
Rock Candy crackle paint is all the rage over here with Singapore scrappers these days .
Couldn't resist using some here .
Check out this week's sketch here
Do play along with our sketch, put it in the gallery and a winner will be picked at the end of the month.

This is absolutely touching. What a great thing to be able to do! I love how it turned out. My grandparent's and parent's photos all burned in a fire...so I don't have any of em and it makes me sad because this is exactly what I want to be doing with them! Thanks for sharing! Hope you have a great rest of the week!
Hugs,
Mo
For a change, I saw this on the sketch site first and of course, I'm blown away by your artistry!! Seriously amazing work! Such a GREAT interpretation of a sketch that I would have just made all squares out of! Yours look inspired by the sketch and yet transcends it!
Beautiful way to document the romantic jesture of love notes to each other, I really think the age of romance & courtship was amazing all those years ago.
I love all the elements layered & clustered together.
How utterly beautiful and special. You are doing such amazing work, Pearl. Your Aunt and Uncle must be just thrilled to see this :) XX
