Here's this week's Scrappiest Sketch 81
up & running .
I realised today I've never tried making my own "patterned paper"
/cardstock backgrounds using mediums yet .
So here's my first test drive
using Glimmer Mists & Glimmer Glam.
The gold glitter from the Golden Goddess Glimmer Glam
shows up nicely here.
I tried to follow the curves in the sketch & cut out the CC Delovely patterned papers
freehand for a fun touch .
I think I just could do this more often -
creating my own backgrounds on white cardstock -
that oughta use up the spray ink / mediums just a little bit more ! ;)

the yellow paper really pops with the yellow in the paper...you are always up to something Pearl!!!!
I think I might have to make some of my own pp background too! with Shimmerz of course, and make a video :)
Stickers are on the way today!
you have such a colorful and unique style!! love it!!
Wow Pearl, your patterned paper turned out great!!! Perfect free-style cutting too! It was this aspect of the sketch that intimidated me from giving it a go. Loving this colourful LO! :)
How great to make your own pattern paper !
you did a great job with the Glimmer Mists!! Love your page :)
Yay...to the Glimmer Mist Queen;-D Beautiful layout Pearl...I love the photo.
This is beautiful, Pearl! Fabulous take on that sketch. I love the background paper you created. Hard to believe it was originally white. Did you have any trouble with your paper warping with all that treatment? It always seems like my papers warp when I use the mist, although I love them anyway.
Love your freehand wavy cuts with the Delovely paper and I love the crinkled ribbon treatment, too.
and you have done a great job!! love it!
the colours are beautiful.
enjoy your weekend!xx
My jaw is hanging open with amazement! The background pp? Gorgeous! Well done!

Monique
