SRM Stickers Card sketch challenge

SRM's latest card sketch challenge is back.

I couldn't resist trying it out
with some new stash on hand.

I tried out here Webster's Pages' Hollywood Vogue petite papers
( comes in a 6x6 pad) ,
with some of their latest matching bloomers & trims.
I've also misted a GCD Studio's flocked paper
with new Luminarte's Butternut Radiant Rain Shimmering Mist
( now is that a mouthful for a product !
but a rather yummy one in terms of shimmery color for sure ! )
I love clear sentiment stickers for the crispness of print
& of course JJ  dear will understand best why
I'm over the moon having some of these SRM stickers in hand now. ;)
I've used their Quick Cards Congrats sentiment.

LSOS Sketch 71

****Please Click Here or Scroll Down to take part in my latest blog giveaway ****

Sketch #71 is up & running over at LSOS

My take here using the latest SF Mix & Mend papers
& featuring Chelly Bean Designs' demin eco flowers .
I altered them slightly -
i toned down the pink felt center with an emerald green Glimmer Glaze ,
and then traced out the flower shapes on white paper in different sizes ,
misted them and added that layer to the demin flowers for a fun touch.
Added some of my own handdyed ,crinkled ribbons to finish the layout. ;)

Keep sending in those layouts at Mieke0510@hotmail.com,
we hope to upload them on the LSOS blog next week!
We have some prizes to win, with sketch #70 &71 for Sept.

My Little Sketch Blook Sunday Sketch

Here's the latest Sunday Sketch up

And my take as one of the guest designers this week .

I had some new product in my stash that I really wanted to use
so that was my primary focus with this sketch.
Using the Jillibean Soup Monster Stew papers ,
I chose to use 2 of the scalloped frames in the line,
instead of using the semi circles as prompted by the sketch.
I built up the layout design from there -
picking a photo of DS to match the paper .

I often have difficulty embellishing boy layouts -
so I turned to some new Tattered Angels Glimmer Glaze
to create a unique background with a drippy paint technique.

After the Glaze drips had dried I also misted on some new Chalkboard Glimmer Mists
to add a little subtle color to the background.
Lastly,  I couldn't resist painting on some Gold Gimmer Glam below the title .
I cut out some fun monster faces as embellies
as well as added some Such Sweet Tierney handmade chipboard buttons."

The Scrappiest Sketch 81 - test drive

Here's this week's Scrappiest Sketch 81
up & running .

I realised today I've never tried making my own "patterned paper"
/cardstock backgrounds using mediums yet .
So here's my first test drive
using Glimmer Mists & Glimmer Glam.

The gold glitter from the Golden Goddess Glimmer Glam
shows up nicely here.
I tried to follow the curves in the sketch & cut out the CC Delovely patterned papers
freehand for a fun touch .

I think I just could do this more often -
creating my own backgrounds on white cardstock -
that oughta use up the spray ink / mediums just a little bit more ! ;)

Scrapping made easy - the SF Mix & Mend way

The new SF Mix and Mend papers are like no other
from their previous collections & understandnably so ,
as it's designed by Michelle Clement
It's no sweat, no bulk, no warping pages if that's how you like 'em sometimes
( like I do ! )

This Handmade Hobnob paper practically scraps itself ,
with all the rich, layered details .
I added quite a few Such Sweet Tierney buttons
used some Tim Holtz tickets for titles, an  SF Indie Girl journaling sticker,
my own hand colored crinkled ribbons & Helen's crochet flower.
Layout design inspired by Sketch Inspiration #141 too.

Love how  happy the colors of this line are,
& the papers turned out more versatile to use than I thought !

Check out Sassafras' blog for a little insight
on Michelle Clement's design process with this line .
I thought I spied a pic of  her fabric or canvas material being coffee stained ! yums !

The Color Room TCR#23 / Sketchy Thurs 9.9

Nothing like finding some time to play along with some
challenges to get some scrapping mojo going.

I thought the latest Sassafras Lass' Mix & Mend
was perfect for the latest color palette over at
& I used the latest Sketchy Thursday sketch to get
the layout design going fairly quickly. ;)

Buttons are Such Sweet Tierney's
Felt titles by Creative Cafe.
Dirty Martini Glimmer Glam.

with the latest sketch at Inspired Blueprints.

The corners of the square I cut using
a circle punch , simply eyeballing it.
More use for my fave crinkled ribbon . ;)

Sketch Inspiration 139 - vuvuzela love

Here's a quick layout that I made today ,
using up some scraps of  the new Bo Bunny Cambridge pps .
I had finished one layout earlier (for reveal next week)
and thought I could use the scraps with
the latest sketch at Sketch Inspiration.

& finally a layout with our still new South African vuvuzela ! ;)

I misted some Autumn Nights , Sugar Maple & Apple GM
on the background paper for some depth of color.

Other supplies : Karen Foster large horn brad,
Making Memories ' glittered flourishes,
Honey puffy Thickers.
