My Creative Scrapbook Lift the DT

My Creative Scrapbook is having a Lift their DT challenge 

until Mar 15th. 

I *heart* Gabrielle Pollaco's work 

so it was a good excuse 

to have the artistic licence

 to create in her style . lol ! 

& also to dive right into  using 

my new Prima stash. 

Using Prima's new Flirty Little Secrets patterned papers ( love this paper to bits !!! ) , new velvet cabbage rose on top of  an artistry floral, Black Say It in Pearls & corner crystals , petite vine & butterfly. 

Also AC Puffy Thickers Rainboots , Buttons Galore Timeless love buttons , GCD Flocked paper - Paris Nights Louve , Maya Road Vintage Trinket pins . 

This is one of my fave pics (taken 16 years ago during my outdoor  bridal photoshoot ) 

 & never scrapped before !

I handcut a tag from one of the SF Anthem - Wall of Fame paper- 

& used the back of the tag to write my journaling. 

Another pic from 2000 for the scrap album ! 

Photo was matted unto Jillibeansoup Cream of Mushroom Portobello 

kraft paper ( gotta love their product names !

& I did a bit of cutting around the giraffe on the right of the pic

 & raised parts of it on foam pads for some dimension.

using a picture collage I created in Picasa - it's a lot of fun & so easy - 

just choose a couple of pics at least 3 -

& then click away at the choice of collages you have !

Lots of online crops going on this weekend I've noticed 

& I decided to try out a challenge or two over at My Scrapbook Nook 

to help me use up some new papers . Ack !

These are for their May GD challenge ( to be completed during the crop - deadline's Mon )- 

The challenge is to create a layout & co-ordinating tag & card. 

Just love the colors of this Girl Friday line. 

I've never been much of a CC fan before - 

but I did pick up almost 3 lines from  their CHA Winter releases  yesterday. 

( and the fact that I could get them at almost half the price certainly

 helped to seal the deal basically. ) 

There's some MM Flower Patch paper & embellies in there too . 

Scrapping Outback's Feb Sketch Challenge

Scrapping Outback has one of the best sketch challenge's around - 

& Feb's was no exception . 

The sketch was great to try circular elements in a different way 

& the new Cosmo Cricket's Snorkel : Umbrella was perfect for the job here.
