Mini album weekend mania - Using MM Noteworthy product packaging as a template

Thank's to Nancy's tutorial I tried these out for size !

first i tried out a bigger template to accomodate 4x6" photos without having to do much cropping .

I used the LBY Delightful paper for the album cover - totally love this series of paper & felt they would be wasted being covered up on layouts . Too glad to use them this way . The glittery goodness looks a little like microbeads on this paper.

& then I tried out the smaller template which accomodates 3.5x3.5" photos .

Used a Glitz Design Basics pp for the cover & the inside pages I used a new AC Travel pp ( CHA Summer '08 release ) . For the embellies I used a mix of AC & MM .

I'm into mini albums , the quicker the better ,

when cards & layouts lose the instant gratification factor here .

Here's a colorful & fun one which is accomplished within 2 hrs if you gather your pics & materials before starting out .

I should never have to buy patterned paper for a looong time ! lol

& I should be able to alter those patterned papers I don't really love anymore into ones that I do ! woohoo ! & at worst if they are single sided papers I can roll on the doodles on the white side & make new pp !

& Happiness is getting hold of the awaited new Bazzill Basics CHA Summer '08 releases -
the tulle by the yard , mini pom pom trim , Christmas ribbon & new Bazzill Just the Edges ! I didnt get any new Bazzill CS colors - simply refuse to use cardstock on layouts anymore
if I can help it!

Lotus Paperie - Book Cover Inspiration

The Book cover inspiration over at Lotus Paperie helped me easily whip up this Pink Paislee Pop Fashion layout in no time . Love the pairing of the things i love in terms of scrapping material + things I'm enjoying at the moment ! LOL ! I've always liked the idea of tone on tone & was inspired to try some of that out here - using Prima felt matties .

Other supplies : AC Flair button, clear stickers , thickers : Heidi Swapp chipboard hearts , Prima Felt Matties , bling.

Since I decided to use the PP transparency as is , I opted to add an interactive element using scrap photo paper to write my journaling which reads : "it's a revolutionary phone; a widescreen ipod ; a breakthrough Internet device ; Bought on August 22, 2008 on the day of the Singapore launch " .

Yes Singapore only just saw tens of thousands ( prolly ! ) of iphone 3G just launched here on Aug 22 at the stroke of midnite ! for a Nokia only phone user it was a no sweat changeover to the iphone interface ( yes , downloaded some free apps already ! - games , photo apps etc ) Great camera feature too !

( Picnik is the fave ! Still not a user of Photoshop ! I feel so liberated that my less than perfect photos can be made more imperfect or improved considerably by editing )

I have some requests to make wedding cards &

I realised I 've never made specifically wedding ones before - this is is no exception ! lol
