It is one of those days put on the Glitz ! ;)

Today I just needed some retail therapy ,
followed by some intensive creative therapy .
& New Glitz Design came easily to the rescue !

We simply have too much by way of new arrivals these past weeks ,
so it's so easy to indulge I'm afraid.

Bought up some Glitz Design Love Games pps
 ( & Laced With Grace & Afternoon Muse )

I thought the Pink Paislee Butterfly Garden Ephemera pack
would go well with some of the Glitz Design pps,
as well as EP's For the Record cardstock stickers.
Alaskan Salmon goes well on many of my backgrounds I have to say (again!)

more later !

Mixed media pages seems to be the rage to me this year -

  on the kraft background here.
I spritzed Autumn Nights GM all around the edges of the cardstock
and love the effect of the midnight blue shimmer on kraft.

Other supplies : Jenni Bowlin Flag Banner stickers, Studio Calico cardstock alphas, Maya Rd star pin , kraft journaling ticker, bingo game piecee.

Posted this card last week on the Webster's Pages ning site
and it is one of the featured photos on their gallery page this week. ;)

Bo Bunny Card Challenge

The latest card challenge over at Bo Bunny's blog is to Bling It On

I had a go at it using the Gabrielle 6x6 papers with the coordinating sticker for the card sentiment.

Brought out some bling with stickles ,a little pearl bling and glittered chipboard flourish .

And then I tried to see how to Bling It On with the Ad Lib 6x6 papers.

and was happy with a totally different version . ;)

Document Everyday Life / Pray for Japan

Inspired today to use up more Bo Bunny Ad Lib pps with Magistical Memories'
Solid Bubble Loop chipboard set.

I layered the smallest sized Bubble Loop over the largest piece for yet another fun chipboard sun take.

Used up some Such Sweet Tierney Buttons and journaling spots by Tanya Leigh.
I am still loving the new TA Alaskan Salmon Chalkboard mist - used it on the smallest Bubble Loop
and a little on the die cut background behind the photo.

& while our collective thoughts and hearts must still be with Japan right now ,
here's a link on Facebook where you can go & share some of your thoughts or feelings

The spirit & resilience of the Japanese people right now is definitely more than inspiring -

From Twitter ( translated by Jun Shiomitsu )

Blood donations
Japan is strong!  At Osaka I saw a LONG line of people waiting to give blood at the blood donation center.  This is the first time I have seen such a queue of selfless people waiting patiently in line just to give.  It was a moving sight!  To everyone in the hard-hit areas, we your countrymen accept your suffering as our own and we share in your grief.  Do not give up!  Stay strong!

At a congested downtown intersection …
Cars were moving at the rate of maybe one every green light, but everyone was letting each other go first with a warm look and a smile.  At a complicated intersection, the traffic was at a complete standstill for 5 minutes, but I listened for 10 minutes and didn’t hear a single beep or honk except for an occasional one thanking someone for giving way.  It was a terrifying day, but scenes like this warmed me and made me love my country even more.

バスが全然来ない中、@saiso が、バス停の前にある薬局でカイロを買ってきて、並んで待ってる人みんなに配った!
Bus stop mini episode:
It was freezing and bus was taking ages to arrive.  “@saiso” left the queue to run to a nearby pharmacy.  He bought heating pads and gave one to everyone in the queue!

Three days after the tsunami, three people were rescued from their attic. Upon being asked to comment, the elderly man smiles and says,

"We're fine! I've experienced the Chile tsunami too so I'm fine! LET'S START REBUILDING!"

Just because ...

Last weekend , in 24 hrs I scrapped up 2 layouts , a canvas and a card.
These past coupla days -
it's all about cards with the new CC Upcycle & Social Club paper pads .
That's just how the mojo rolls sometimes...
I based the design of this card on Got Sketch 93.

This one is based on Got Sketch 97.

And this one is a variation of Got Sketch 103 with CC Social Club.
Sentiment is Unity Stamps - Heartfelt Sentiments.
Sure am getting a lot out of these CC paper pads !

Our hearts & prayers go out to the stricken areas where a 8.9 magnitude earthquake, tsunami struck Northern Japan this afternoon.
A tsunami warning has been issued for the entire Pacific, including areas as far away as South America, the entire U.S. West Coast, Canada and Alaska.
Praying for minimal damage and loss of lives.

Quick cards with new Cosmo Cricket

It's that time of the week here - happy new, scrappy arrivals ! yeehaw !

Brought home the new Cosmo Cricket Upcyle 6x6 paper pad
( simply because I never bought their 6x6 paper pads )
and had to try it out . Love their itty bitty butterflies and doilies for cardmaking .
They might be too small for layouts I'd say.
With a little help from Got Sketch 113  too.
I also carted home Social Club
( thinking this would be great for masculine cards , firstly)
& had a go here using Get Sketchy #77.
Sentiment  by Unity Stamps-  Heartfelt Sentiments , Ink - American Crafts Denim .

3rd Prize - S$30 BG product voucher

Challenge entries open to Singapore & M'sian Scrappers.

I'm back as a Challenge Designer using BG Hopscotch.

have waited for the right papers to come along to create an album with Magistical Memories' Hopscotch Book.
The BG Hopscotch is such a fun and versatile range and helped me quickly create
a friendship album for one of  DD's school friends.
It has the perfect colours and patterns for these pics of teenage girls
having fun and games outdoors without being too girly girl.

For the album cover,  I simply painted a couple of layers of Chalkboard Mist in Chocolate Mint.
The negative numbers were highlighted with a little Diamond Stickles.

On the inside cover here, I spritzed Maya Road's Antique Patina
and then added coordinating journal die cut & chipboard shapes .

The rest of the chipboard pages of the album I simply covered with patterned paper.
I layered the BG die cuts and chip stickers around the photos
for a quick and simple finish to the album.

Do check out the other 4 designers' inspiration projects
