Smitten with ...

Sassafras Lass' latest releases - Sweetly Smitten - being one of them .

The background pps of this line just scrap themselves .
I simply used some of my current fave things
with the wonderfully detailed background paper.

And everything came together quickly .
Definitely the perfect line on hand to scrap this sweet couple's retreat pics at their recent getaway .

Next, I'll see if I can cut into Ellie's Tale soon .

Bo Bunny's Card Challenge

Always a first time for everything -
entering this week's Bo Bunny's Card Challenge Tuesday
and using their 6x6 paper pad - in this case -
the new Gabrielle papers .

Sometimes, it is simply easier to make cards with 6x6 paper pads-
only a recent discovery for me .
I didn't get the 12x12 papers of this line yet -
figured I wouldn't be scrapping with them anytime soon
but cards I definitely could try . So that was an easy decision . ;)

Here comes the sun

My layout today features Magistical Memories' Solid Bubble Loop chipboard
used as a retro sun .
This is one of my older chipboard pieces in the stash put finally to happy use today.

I thought it would be great with this new Bo Bunny Ad Lib paper line -
lots of Mod Retro patterns yet with a youthful vibe .

I used the smallest Bubble Loop shape as a mask here behind the photos
& misted it in with new Chalkboard Glimmer Mist in Alaskan Salmon .
The yellow mist here is by Maya Road.

A Quick layout with Prima

I couldn't wait  to try out a new 8x8 mask by Prima
and had a  quick go with this layout.
Surprisingly,  I liked some of the new Prima Sweet Fairy pps
more than the other lines at first go -
( although I would get others as need arises ) .

Love the new crystal swirls with fimo flowers
& the Donna Downey sculpture resin flowers . :)

ICSketches #102 & 100

I did some quick cards with EP's For the Record,
using some ICS sketches by sketch artist, Stacy .

This card was inspired by ICS#100.
Sure was a productive 2 days of card making frenzy -
& all these cards are out of my hands now ,
given to friends who do like to use handmade cards ! ;)

Today's cards

The following two cards uses the Webster's Pages petite papers from the Yatch Club line.

Having these Crafty Little Secrets sentiments on hand
sure made light work of making these cards.
And a little crinkled seam binding & a rosette or two always finishes things off nicely .

This card uses the WP Spring Market petite papers.
I'll put in the sentiment when I'm ready to use this card. ;)

Cards with new Webster's Pages petite papers - Country Estate

Fresh inspo with fresh products !
What can I say -
Creating is just easier with new products !!!

The latest Webster's Pages 6x6 paper pad to land on our sunny shores is a triple collection of papers
from the Spring Market , Country Estate and Yatch Club lines .
I couldn't believe our good fortune that this pad had that many new lines together .

All the vintage sentiments used here are by Crafty Little Secrets .
I have more to share later . ;)

New products , new inspo

Inspired today to use up some new Prima products on hand -
the new Carnation vine , vintage trinket- bird , crystal & pearl swirl, canvas alphas, 6x6 mask
together with Webster's Pages' Spring Market pps.

Had lots of fun water distressing the paper edges &
Loved  the result of masking with Walnut Distress ink here .

And for something different to journal on ,
I used a Magistical Memories' Hang Tag ( designed by Amy Teets ) .

Very easy to LOVE these new Prima crystal & pearl swirls ! ;)

TCR#45 - Sweet Baby card

A new palette up & running over at the Color Room today -
& with a new inspiring card sketch , new products on hand,
it wasn't too hard to create .
I didn't get a whole load of the new Prima Sweet Fairy papers
- just those that appealed to me immediately .
( just check out the range in the pic below !!)
source :

Something tells me I just might be back for more Prima papers
but let me get through cutting more into the 15 I just brought home ! lol .

Quick cards with "Celebrate with Jack & Jill"

Prima's brand new 8 lines for CHA Winter 2011 have landed on our sunny shores !!!!
Can you imagine 8 collections - each line with 12 papers ?
Am I going home with 8x12=96 pps at one go ?
Well. the cost of 96 papers was what I parted with in the end !
But spread over just 15 pps ( mainly Celebrate Jack & Jill & some Sweet Fairy )
and lots of embellies- love their new resin flower centers, some  petite stamps and  masks . But NO FLOWERS tho'.  Teehee .

When it comes to paper selection , I mainly try to buy what I need or can use immediately these days.
And these papers were just in time for some quick Valentine's Day cards.
Adorable & unique images I have to say.

There are a coupla celebration themes running thru this line -
Birthday , Easter, Picnics & even Christmas !
A very versatile line indeed ! ;)

Friends brighten your day !

Hey blogging friends, wow , it sure feels good to be back and blogging away again .
& where have I been you might ask ?
No where at all ,actually .
Just been zonked out with a sensitive reaction to a strong antihistimine I took on Monday night -
the effect ( drowsiness, being zomby like ) didn't wear out until yesterday afternoon .
& I was finally able to sit at my scrappy table and happily create again !
So 24 hours away from getting some of the latest Prima CHA Winter 2011 releases into my hands,
I decided to dig deep into my stash and use up some good ole Rose Moka papers for this
Magistical Memories layout.
I have hoarded their Sassy Sunflowers chipboard since 2008 , just waiting to use
on the right layout. & I'm glad I did ! lol .

Other supplies I used :
7 Gypsies fabric tape, WP Spring Market florette,
Such Sweet Tierney Buttons, Prima bling and Arco Iris Flower.
Layout design inspired by The Scrappiest Sketch 106

TCR#44

Here 's this week's latest color palette with a new twist !

The  Whitewashed challenge will be a chance to explore colours in our creating. It will always include white, and three other monochromatic colours.
To get the full experience exploring monochromatic colours with this palette, we suggest you try and create with the palette colours only. Not adding the usually allowed neutral colours.
This will be required with each "WHITEWASHED" palette released.

I started with the new WP Spring Market Gardener's Seeds pp for the background,
and built up the layout from there - using this week's inspirational sketch as well.
I pulled out as many white & green embellies in the shade of this week's palette
and in no time was able to finish off my first monochromatic layout of the year . lol !

Tried out some Vanilla Smooch Spritz on the dark green background .
Had a problem with the spray nozzle
and had to abandon the use of the Vanilla spritz after a coupla sprays.
I was surprised by the number of green flowers I actually had in my stash .
& only too happy to put them to good use here.
Well,  this is my last creation as RDA over at the Color Room.
We are into Day 2 of celebrating the Chinese Lunar New Year here in Sunny Singapore -
a time of feasting & merry making - especially for the young & youth .
Hence the MIA around the blog here these past coupla days .
Here's wishing all Chinese blogging friends all over the world
a hippity, hoppity good time this Lunar New Year !
